I don't think that the question is a tricky one.
But really, what makes four walls and a roof that is similar to other houses in a neighborhood that is similar to other neighborhoods, different? Is it your decor? Or maybe your curb appeal?
Early October 2011, our dog passed away. We lost our other dog a year and a half prior to that. Once Peanut died, there was a void left in our home. I missed her sprinting through the dog door to greet me when I got home.
Quite frankly, home to me means, family, friends and dogs. One year ago, we adopted our sweet Bella Blu without fur and a terrible case of mange but she has turned into an amazing family friend and companion. I'd been feeling like she needed to have a playmate so we started looking for another furry friend.
We are fortunate enough to have friends who have a great animal rescue organization, Luv'em 4 Life Companion Animal Rescue and they have been keeping an eye out for us for the perfect family pet. We got wind of a potential match today at a pet adoption event. The one we went down to meet didn't work out but instead, we took home Jersey, a super sweet American Bulldog mix that fit perfectly with Bella Blu.
If you're looking for a forever friend, there are plenty of sweet dogs and cats ready for adoption from 10-6 tomorrow at Petsmart in Lake Worth, TX sponsored by Shelter2Rescue. It's hard not to want to take them all home but in the end, you will be able to make a pet's dreams come true while turning your house into a home at the same time.
