Irena, This was such a tragic storm! Having been through several hurricanes, this can be very stressful for many. I hope a speedy recovery and people can get their lives somewhat back to normal soon

I hope they all get housing soon.  The weather is not helping.  Our assistant's is a member of the Ladies Aux. have been taken supplies to Staten Island.  I wish we could do so much more.  My parents are in Toms River and although they ok, many have also lost their homes.  Breaks my heart to see LBI, Seaside, Staten Island and Long Beach.  You watch hurricanes hit down south and thank god it's not here.  So many lives and homes distroyed.  But hey we are New Yorkers, you can knock us down but we get up again!

Hope all your loved ones came out of the storm ok.

Yes, thank you. We still having a huge shortage of housing here and although many volunteer their time to help the process is taking very long. The cold weather isn't helping.

I was in Tottenville a couple of months ago showing houses. The one house I showed is around the corner from the resturant that was destroyed by the Hurricane. That home received damage from Hurricane Irene.

My buyer was concerned and deceided not to make an offer on the home. Today that home received major damage.

This hurricane has now changed our Real Estate Market here on Staten Island.
