Sarasota-Bradenton Housing Starts Continue Strong In 3rd Quarter 2012! The Sarasota-Bradenton market finished the third quarter of 2012 with a very strong showing for new home starts according to Metrostudy, the industry leader in market information for the housing industry.
659 single family homes were started in the Sarasota-Bradenton market in the 3rd Quarter of 2012. This represents a 16.8% increase over the same period last year of 564 new single family homes. On an annual basis single family home starts have increased by 19.4% to 2,231 single family homes expected for all of 2012.
Neal Communities, Sarasota's leading home-builder, has continued their strong sales pace in the Central Park community of Lakewood Ranch with 503 new home sales this year alone, already an increase of 110 more homes than they sold all of last year.
In addition, Neal Communities recently unveiled their Grand Palm community in Venice on 1,005 acres with 5 models and 22 different floor plans. Just last week Neal Communities opened Fairfield in Manatee County which features 140 villas on 27 acres.
