Do you have the discipline to LISTEN?

Do you have the discipline to LISTEN? Listening

Have you every thought about how hard it is to really LISTEN to someone?  Listening requires effort, concentration, comprehension and practice.

Do you know how to LISTEN between the lines? Do you watch people when they talk for nonverbal clues?

Are you patient when you LISTEN? Do you give the person you are listening to your full attention?

Do you spend time comprehending what the person is saying or do you prematurely jump into the conversation with your own conclusions?

As professionals in the Real Estate Industry, listening is an important aspect to our business. Do you Listen?

Spend some time thinking about how you listen to people.

Practice listening, it's really much harder than you think ...

You know Frank & Karen, it is really hard to listen in this business, because I find myself wanting to share information, but it is sooooo important to listen, keep knocking myself on the head and telling myself to "zip it"

Frank and Karen,

I think if you asked my clients and my wife you would get two different answers.

I have found frequently that this is a skill that many have not mastered.  Rather than wait until I finish my thought, someone starts taking over me.  I don't like when that happens.

I heard someone once say that most agents think the opposite of talking is "waiting to respond". This is a skill that is very important in our service business.
