Rapid City has a new program. It honors our local heroes. Those that put their lives on the line for us. They deserve a nice home. And we are here to help with Homes for Heroes.
Homes for Heroes is a national program that was started after the 9-11 attacks. A REALTOR was inspired by the sacrifices made by the police, firefighters, care givers, and others that put their lives on the line...and Homes for Heroes was born. It is now in over 40 states and growing strong.
With the Rapid City Homes for Heroes program, local heroes such as firemen, active police officers, nurses, and retired and active military members are eligible to get a substantial discount on their closing costs when purchasing or selling their home. AND we have associated with a couple of lenders that provide a free apraisal as well.
The Rapid City Homes for Heroes team consists of 5 full time REALTORS at Prudential Kahler REALTORS. We have agreed to offer our Homes for Heroes clients 25% of our professional services fee towards closing costs. To put that into numbers, it would amount to $1,500 credit on a $200,000 home sale or purchase. Add the free appraisal from our lender affiliates, that saves another $500 to our buyer heroes.
So there's gotta be a bunch of paperwork to sign, a mess of red tape right?
Nope. To qualify for the Rapid City Homes for Heroes program, sign up at the Homes for Heroes website. We'll get your information and be getting ahold of you soon. That's it! We've already coordinated with the title companies on how the program works and have had successful closings that were a breeze.
The work has been done.
Are you a hero? Do you know a Rapid City hero that would qualify for the Rapid City Homes for Heroes program? Send them to the website and sign up!
It's our way to say "Thank you."
