Louisiana State University main campus is located in Baton Rouge, LA. In addition to the athletic facilities, major upgrades to the surrounding areas are also taking place. There are many future investment properties being built. All are within the LSU bus system.
Within a short drive and in some cases walk of the LSU main campus are brand new condomiumi complex. It appears just a short time ago this unit was selling in the low 200's. These were the pre construction prices. Today, nearly complete 3bed/3 baths are going in the 360's range. If your children are planning on attending LSU in the next 5 years these could be great investments. By the time your children begin taking classes the rents should just about cover the note and fees. When your student completes their education you can sell the property for a profit. My wish and theory would be enough profit to cover the cost of a college education. LSU now is very limited on campus parking. LSU has a comprehensive bus route system so the students do not need much parking on campus. The bus service runs from 7 AM to 11 PM Monday through Friday. In addition, to the condo there are 4 Plex offering in the mid 150's to about 225's. Rent in the general area range from 550 to about 1200 per month.
