A VERY SPECIAL THANK YOU to all our Veterans and Active Duty!

I Thank You for my FREEDOM, and for the protection you provide as you have defended our beautiful USA!

We are the Land of the Free...

Because of the Brave!

I'll Never forget that Freedom isn't Free.

You have my heartfelt gratitude for all you do and have done to protect our freedoms at home. You, and your families have made many sacrifices for our country, and they will not be forgotten. For those who are currently Active Duty, my thoughts are with you daily for a safe return home to your loved ones.

I am honored to be a member of the Patriot Guard Riders. Several days weekly I attend Homecomings, Sendoffs, Funeral Services and provide Motorcycle Escorts and Security when needed for military members, past and present.

I am so honored to stand and hold my flag for you. Sometimes a happy occasion and sometimes a tearful occasion, and always an honor to be there.

YOU are America's Heroes!

You've earned it!

This week I will be providing motorcycle escort of the Christmas Tree for the United States Capital that will be placed on the West lawn with 5000 ornaments made by Colorado residents. Our community has made many ornaments to honor our heroes that shall be placed on that tree.

This year I am also very active in WREATHS ACROSS AMERICA. I am trying to collect donations totaling $14,000.00 so I can place a wreath on EVERY grave at our Veteran's Memorial Cemetery.

This is a photo of my youngest son James while he was in Boot Camp. I'm very proud of him, he advanced to the highest rank possible for a boot, and was in charge of his division. The Man with the Sword...Recruit Chief Petty Officer. He completed his 'A' school with honors, and on the Dean's List. He's now in C-School and is a Hospital Corpsman, hoping to be attached to the Seals. He broke his leg in training so has to wait a year before he can try for Seals again.

Hi Cindy! Yes, I just love the Wreath's Across America program. We were able to collect enough to put a wreath on every grave here at our Grand Junction Veteran's Memorial Cemetery. It was so beautiful! Merry Christmas! :)

I'm so glad you commented on my post and that sent me here to reciprocate. What a beautiful post....I wish I had seen it back in November. My husband is a member of the Patriot Guard and we have attended a couple of ceremonies. It's such an emotional experience. My cousin, Nathan, just arrived in Afghanistan last week...we are so PROUD of him and I pray for him every day. Nathan and James are true heroes!

Sharon, Thank You! Yes, it was so fulfilling in every way working on this project this season and attending the funerals of our heroes throughout the year as you know. All our soldiers are heroes! Praying for the Safe return home of Nathan and all troops. :)

The escorting of the Christmas tree was MOSTLY done with cars ("cages") But we escorted within our town with our motorcycles. I have tried to find the video that the news station put up but it must have been removed, I can't find it, dang it.
