As I mentioned before my plan was to stop by the bar in Eindhoven where the US elections were shown on large screens. The intent was there and my brother showed up to take me and to accompany me. However, duty called and a client needed me to write an offer on a property. In this market with inventories low and buyers putting in multiple offers we don't have the luxury to wait until we have room on our calendar. I didn't have to miss out on following the US election being this far away. Non-stop coverage in Dutch studios kept me informed most hours of the night here by foreign correspondents on the ground there and interesting discussions between different Republican and Democrat guests at a Dutch studio in New York. One would think I was following the Dutch elections not those of another nation.
The coverage and interest here in the US elections was, and continues to be, enormous which to me is amazing. Now that Obama seems to have won he has his work cut out for him and he will have to full fill some of the promises made four years ago.
