I had an opportunity to vist with Joe Smith yesterday. He is the developer of Sable Creek in Sanger TX. He bought the raw land several years ago and has patiently worked with the City of Sanger to build one of the largest developments that the city has ever seen. It will have nearly 400 homes when complete and a retail center that fronts FM 455.
There were a few speed bumps getting the development started but now some experts are projecting 100 home starts per year to completion. I am really not surprised to hear that amount of volume with the Wal-Mart Distribution Center in Sanger and the amount of large employers continuing to come into Denton and surrounding areas.
The location of Sable Creek is just a mile from I-35 on 455. Sable Creek is about 3 years into the development and is served by the Sanger ISD. The best part about the location is that kids can walk to the High School and the new elementary school that is currently under construction.
