The POWER of ATTITUDE-its your choice

By
Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams Success Realty

I have been meaning to write my first blog post for a number of weeks,  I'm still uncertain as to actually post it, but here's to my first attempt.

I have always believed in having a positive mental attitude,  a few years ago everything seem to come crashing down ,  the real estate market was tanking , my ownership interest in multiple investment property took a huge hit and losses.  In 2008  I lost my dad in March and then my mother in June both at the age of 65. October found me getting my first heart Stint at age 44, 2009 wasn't must better as Real Estate really didn't improve and I ended up having three more stints in February and the Tuesday before thanksgiving I top it off with a quadruple bypass.  I tried my best to retain my positive attitude  after all, I was alive wasn't I?

Early 2010 found me telling my then business partner  that I was tired of always getting knocked down and didn't know if i wanted to even try to get up anymore.   This was probably the first time I voiced this out loud,  I left his office and went into mine, there hanging on my wall was a picture from Brain Buffini   that reads WIN the DAY..   and list the things to do to win the day prospecting ,  But all I really saw  that dayt was "WIN the DAY".   I said to myself , self, its time to Win the day,  with much effort I posted on Facebook it was time to win the day and listed the things I was going to do to WIN my DAY.  The following weeks I struggled each day to write my WIN the day statement , but  soon found myself believing I could and was winning the da. Don't get me wrong some days weren't the easiest, but I believe that the attitude I had  helped in believing I  could win each and every day, had me in fact wining the day.  This transformation resulted because I choose to be positive no matter what.  I often told by many that they look forward to my post of WIN the DAY ,  so even on those days i don't really feel like that I'm wining the day, I post anyways knowing there arwe those out there that need that reminder that they too can "WIN the DAY"   There are those days I might not really have won the day,  but a good milkshake turns that day into a WINNING day,

So I sit here writing my first blog the day after the election, I will admit the Presidential election didn't turn out as I had hope , and I'm taking it hard and wonder what the future holds for this great nation of the United States.  but there's nothing I can do about it  but go forth and win the day and make the best of it and hope im wrong in my outlook of another fours years of this administration ( there's no need to comment on this part of the blog if you want to argue with me or debate me) I do take it as a good thing that all my other choices and Friends who ran, won there races here in Utah ,  including the campaign that I ran for Rep Curt Oda.  So at least here in Utah I can know that we will continue to be a great state .

So last night before the election results party in Salt Lake City, we had a campaign dinne.r We were at a Spencers restaurant at the Hilton hotel in which the event was being held. I couldn't chose between the buffalo rib-eye or the halibut.  So I chose both.  I asked the server to bring me half of each , and boxed the rest up  knowing full well I would eat the whole thing if it was placed in front of me.   We had a entertaining dinner. After we were finshed, I walked out to the valet, and ask if I could get my keys to put my box in the car, they said it would be easier for them to put it in the car , they got my ticket number and took my box and I went into the festivities , shortly thereafter I learned the presidential race had been called , and not to my liking the mood in the big hall became dark and brooding as most- as I was- were in shock.  After awhile we decided to leave , the same kid that had I given my box to put in my car greeted us and went to get my car. When he returned  he said SIR: I read your ticket number wrong , and put your food in the wrong car and they have already left ..  I had a choice to make  I could get mad or laugh   i chose to laugh and laugh I did and this morning Im still laughing, because that how I WIN the day  and hopefully somebody is winning the day enjoying my lunch today ,  I would love to have seen their reaction to the gift they got !!!

So today I chose to WIN the DAY ,  because it what I do each and everyday!   so no matter what happens Ii can chose my attitude!  So since we do live in a free county you can chose how you will handle the day and what attitude you will exhibit   WHATS YOUR CHOICE?????????
