City of Mesa to host document shredding event
The City of Mesa will be hosting a Shred-A-Thon event from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012, at the East Mesa Service Center, 6935 E. Decatur St. There is no cost to take advantage of this event, but the following conditions apply:·
Event is open to Mesa residential customers only·
Five box limit on documents to be shredded per household (Max. box size: 12”x12”x18”)·
Material will not be accepted from commercial or small businesses
Residents are asked to clearly mark their boxes with the words ‘To Be Shredded’ so event staff can quickly unload their items.
Due to anticipated volume, on-site shredding will not be available.
Material will be secured at the collection site and transported to an off-site location at conclusion of event for destruction.
The event is being sponsored by the City of Mesa Solid Waste Management Department and Arizona Center for the Blind Document Destruction and Recycling Services.
