First Frost and first freeze 2012 in Newnan Georgia

By
Real Estate Broker/Owner with Richard Weisser Realty

First Frost and first freeze 2012 in Newnan GeorgiaIt’s the cycle of life! And it had to come sooner or later.

We woke up to a freezing thirty degrees this morning. It’s not particularly early or late this year, more or less on time.

I will be saying goodbye to my tomato and pepper plants, and the tender annual flowers. We had a few roses blooming, not bad for November.

There is a “no going back” certainty that comes associated with a hard freeze. Like it or not, Winter is here until next Spring.

We are not buried in snow like many of my friends and colleagues across the land, and it will warm up to sixty today.

But it is a passage and a change.

And Thanksgiving is LESS than two weeks away.

Good morning, Richard. We lost ours a few weeks ago. I still have kale and lettuce growing in the cold frame. I brought all my "tenders" into the green house...

Good morning Richard. Yep it's here for sure. After all the weather here, it is kind of refreshing to have frost and normal.

Good morning Richard,

We are waiting for our first freeze, our temperatures are running normal so it should be another couple of weeks before we have a good frost.

Richard, it is cold here today, and there is no escaping that fall is over and winter is here. Even if the calendar says otherwise. We are expecting 60 this weekend though....

We too have been getting the frost filled mornings on the grass and rooftops around the neighborhood. I must say that I'm not all that excited for winter to be upon us though

Richard, I've had to scrape my windshield three times in the last week.  Our adopted cats own the garage, it's the price we pay for animal rescue :)

Time to lose the garden. I can't get a garden to grow because the deer shred it.

When I was in Texas, we called 25 degrees a hard freeze. Here in Wyoming, that'll get you laughed at!

Richard, I have been cold for two weeks with the wind and the colder temps. I guess I won't warm up until spring.
