2006 Housing Prices Appreciate in Effingham, IL

By
Real Estate Agent with Effingham Realty, Inc.

The national news is quoting doom and gloom for the housing market and that the bubble has deflated.

Not true in East Central Illinois.  The housing market appreciated 4.97% in 2006 for Effingham, Illinois.  The average sale price for single family homes is $131,000.

Very affordable housing and a very good area to live in.  I'm looking forward to 2007 being a good year for both sellers and buyers.

Investors come take a look at Effingham the prices are still appreciating.

How are things around my old school - EIU?  Is there a strong market for homes being rented by students?
