Veterans Day Celebration at local Katy High School
I wrote a blog last week about Veterans Day Celebration being hosted by the Katy Elks which was featured by Active Rain. My wife even said “How did that blog get featured” and I said I had no idea but I am not complaining. I stated in my blog that I could not find any other Veterans Day celebrations in Katy Texas. I got an Email from Ms. Tracey Patterson who is a teacher at Morton Ranch High School and she told me about a celebration being held at the High School. Thank you and a Big Shout Out to Tracey Patterson as she sent me both an E-mail and called me leaving a message. I was in a Real Estate training class when she called me so she left me a voice mail.
Katy ISD has six high schools right now with a seventh to open next fall when the school year begins. One of the six High Schools is Morton Ranch and it is a very fine school. This year Newsweek magazine’s list of the top 1,600 High Schools in the entire United States included Morton Ranch along with Cinco ranch, Seven lakes and katy Taylor all of the Katy ISD system. I think this is a very remarkable accomplishment by Katy ISD.This year is the first that I am aware of that Morton Ranch made this list and Congratulations to the entire Morton Ranch team are in order.
Morton Ranch High School will holding a special Veteran's Day celebration on Sunday November 11, 2012 beginning at 3 PM. Sunday is the actual Veterans Day with Monday being the day it is being observed this year. The celebration will include a patriotic concert honoring all those who keep and have kept our great nation free. This concert and celebration is open to the public with free admission.
The concert is being held at the Morton Ranch High School School for the Performing Arts and is located at 21000 Franz Road, Katy Texas. A reception will follow the concert and special guest speakers will talk to the attendees.
Anyone who reads my blog that has information about a local event are welcome to Email me with that data and as long as I received the data before the day the event is scheduled I will try to get a blog published depending on my time availability which discusses the applicable event.
Thank you again Tracey
