I'm A Homeowner

Yesterday, I got to be a part of something truly special. I was able to help a young couple achieve their dream of home ownership. This sweet couple are now the proud owners of a lovely brick ranch home. This home is going to be the place where:

They each celebrate their 21st birthday (yes, they were able to financially qualify to purchase a home at the tender age of 20!)
They welcome a new daughter into their family. They are expecting this new addition to their family in December
They host their combined family for Thanksgiving dinner...the first of many, I am sure!
They create memories to last a lifetime

When we left the attorney's office after signing all the papers, the look on my client's face was full of pride. He could not believe that he had actually achieved this major milestone. As we said goodbye in the parking lot, he looked at me with a huge smile on his face and said a simple and meaningful sentence:

I'm a Homeowner!

It's times like this that make me LOVE what I do!

My favorite ever transaction was the one in which I helped a young coupled with a toddler buy their first house. After the close, we met at the house and I handed him the keys. We walked inside together and he looked around wide-eyed and drop-jawed.

“I can’t believe that we did this!” was what he said. I was filled with happiness for them and price that I was their Realtor.

Melissa: When I was their age, owning a home was the LAST thing on my mind. These people have a lot of drive.

John: That must have felt great indeed.

Tricia: It took a lot more time because they were mostly looking at short sales. And I loved EVERY minute of it.

Tammie: Enjoy it! You are part of such a major milestone in their lives.

Lynn; Feels great. And you can feel so proud of young couples who do this the right way.

Debbie: The husband also said "You know, I am sorry this is over." That was such a compliment but we did have fun together.

Jon: I did not know it was featured until this morning. I went out on a date last night with my 11 year old!
