Maybe four weeks was not enough time.
I worked every day last week, just one month from having quadruple bypass surgery; and I came home every day in pain.
I also worked the election and started cardiac rehab. Maybe I was pushing it. I probably need more time, so I'm going to try to take it easy next week.
My family has decided that I can work four hours a day. I was lobbying for six hours, but since I still depend on them for transportation, their time schedule will probably prevail.
Owning my own business and taking time to heal have not always been compatible concepts. My husband and daughter, partners in the business, have stepped up to cover my workload. I had been working from home, and I thought it was time to spend time at the office. The problem, though, is when I "hit the wall" and need to crawl back into bed, the team members may not be able to drop everything and take me home. So this week--week five, my time at the office will be scheduled...
