Websites for $5? Yep. Only on Fiverr.

What would you do for $5 bucks?

Build a website? Give a REALTOR some help with a Javascript error, help build a widget, update your Facebook page, do a home video of your $620,000 listing?

YES to all of the above.

I experimented with Fiverr on my own and I've taken my radio voice and my ability to take your "crappy at best," web copy on your website and polish it up so good that even Ben Kinney himeself will want to buy your home.

For six months, I earned around $40 bucks a month in Fiverr gigs. Meaning I'd do a few radio spots for customers who wanted my talent and did not want to go down to the local radio station and get the same 30-second spot done for $150.

Imagine if someone decides to start offering closing costs for 5 dollars.  Don't laugh. It's headed that direction.

I'm producing my 3rd book and this one is being published on Amazon in March. My first two were self published.

My new book:  "Web copy doesn't have to suck" already has 4,219 pre-solds as of this morning. I'm sending off the final draft to the publisher in January, so I thought I'd experiment a few of my formulas with a few people on Fiverr to see if my book will be a best seller or not.

Suffice it to say, my success with copy writing Gigs on Fiverr has been a bit over whelming. I have to read (really bad) web copy that would make my first grade gammar teacher cry. Other people I've received gigs are pretty clueless as what to even write. So writing 50 words for $5 bucks or 3 pages for $20 (with 1 revision) is how I'm helping people and they are also signing up for my March book release.

MY FIVERR GIGs MADE ME $800 BUCKS. WOW.

I've been up late at night for the past two weeks and I just glanced at my Fiverr revenues for the past 21 days. I'm going to be getting paid just under $800 bucks for less than 3 (total) hours of work. That's $266 an hour.

My Fiverr Earnings

Not everybody is going to be a top producer with 100% ratings on Fiverr. So you have to be careful on WHO you hire.

Look for the 100% rated people like my rating. Also READ the reviews. Was the person late on delivery? Did they do a bad job? Did they deliver the WRONG order?  It happens.

Go check out Fiverr and for $5, $10 bucks, get 500 or 1,000 LIKES to your Facebook page.  For $10 get a nice make over on your Facebook cover photo.  Spend $10 and get a series of killer Fbook ads, or a video for selling your listings on YouTube.

There's a lot of talent here and like the name implies, you'll find it starting for just $5 bucks.

Dear Bart -

If you no longer agree with this advice (as you seem to say in your 12/8/12 post), perhaps you could write an UPDATE at the top directing folks from here to the 12/8/12 post.

You would be directing them to your own updated opinions aboout the subject. With immediate Web Editing capacity, you have nothing stopping you from correcting your position and that correction would benefit others.

Once I was a at conference and met an author. The talk the author gave was in direct opposition to the author's book's contents. When asked, the reply was - "Yes, I think entirely differently now but there is nothing I can do since the book's out there circulated in print." You are free from the author's constraint.

Have a happy day -
Lynn
