A trash dumpster is no place for a dog!

A trash dumpster is no place for a dog, a true story of survival!

You are a police officer in Tampa, FL on patrol, as you stop to take a break in a remote parking lot you get out of your police cruiser to survey the area.  You hear a noise from a nearby trash dumpster and move closer to investigate.  Is it an injured person............

Trash dumpster

.......a child perhaps! You move closer.  Your senses are alert, you attention is on the dumpster, but you cautiously watch the surrounding area.   The sound grows louder, a whimper, but not anything you can yet identify.  You lift the lid and shine your flashlight into the darkness.........looking up at you with scared, shining eyes is a puppy, or rather the skeleton of a puppy.......

You know what to do, where to take it, dispatch has heard this story many times before,

I hope there is a special hell for people to abuse animals. That's all I want to say, it upsets me too much.

Steven, this is such a touching story.  Dumpty has a clever name and he is one "lucky dog!" I am thinking good thoughts for the perfect dog lover to come along this weekend. I love the photo of dumpty and Heather!

Steven ~ It breaks my heart to see a treasure of an animal like him pitched like trash! People are the real animals. Thank God the officer heard him and took him to safety. Thanks for sharing this story with a happy ending.

It's really maddening when people mistreat animals especially when they do cruel things like putting them in the dumpster.
