House Creek North Copperas Cove has been the destination of choice for over six years for home buyers looking for the best place to live in Copperas Cove, TX.   This subdivision, which was started in 2005, is home to over 1000 families who work and play in the Killeen- Ft Hood-Copperas Cove area!

Folks come to Copperas Cove, and specifically to House Creek for several reasons.

Great schools are a top factor when families are looking for a home, and what they love about living in "Cove", and the House Creek area, is that it is home to beautiful House Creek Elementary School.   Opened in August of 2011, this campus serves children from Pre-k through Fifth grade.  The school is an easy walk or bike ride from just about any home in the subdivision, and there are sidewalks everywhere to make their trip to and from school a safe experience (along with the wonderful crossing guards!)   It's all about LEARNING at House Creek Elementary!

Another reason families search out and settle in House Creek North is that this is the one location in Copperas Cove that offers brand new homes in all sizes, for all budgets.  Homes from 1400 square feet up to over 3000 square feet make up the area, with the average home size being around 1800 square feet.   Four bedroom homes are the most popular layout, but there are three bedroom homes, as well as five bedroom homes scattered throughout the subdivision.

If you are on a budget, nicely constructed homes are dotted along the streets and are priced in the $120,000's to the $130,000's.   If you are thinking of a higher price range, new homes featuring granite, stainless appliances, wood blinds, ceramic tile flooring and custom cabinetry are available from the higher $150,000 range up to and over $200,000.

At this time the subdivision is just about completed, with fewer than 25 brand new homes available for sale.  Once those are gone,  re-sale homes will continue to draw buyers of all ages, due to the beautiful location amid rolling hills and mountains, the wonderful elementary school, and the variety of homes that will be available for sale.

When you ask residents why they chose to live in House Creek North, they always say  they really enjoy the small town atmosphere of Copperas Cove.  The city has about 35,000 residents, and does have that cozy, small town feeling with the various holiday parades, festivals and family events scheduled through the year.

Located at the intersection of FM 116 North and Lutheran Church Road, this area is also an ideal distance for a quick commute to Ft. Hood.  You'll miss all the crazy expressway traffic and glide right in to main post in the mornings.   If you will be assigned to West Ft. Hood, there are a couple of ways to get there, too, that will help you avoid the main traffic jams.

Keep House Creek North Copperas Cove on your list of great places to check out when you make your move to the Killeen Ft. Hood area!
