Freelance writer Paula Minahan’s Westlake-area home has evolved greatly since she first bought it in 1999. It was part of an estate sale and was filled with dark draperies. The outside walkways were covered in green outdoor carpeting; the exterior was cedar siding.
Minahan had a vision for 5305 Scenic View Drive that included uncovering the multilevel home’s windows to take in the view that is part of the street’s name. She redid much of the outdoor areas, adding new decking, stonework around the pool and landscaping. She took down the siding and stuccoed the exterior to give it a more Mediterranean feel.
Now, after 13 years, Minahan is ready for a change and has decided to put the almost 3,000-square-foot home on the market for $769,900.
