| GACHE Reality Store |
| Union County High School is the proud recipient of a grant from Georgia Appalachian Center for Higher Education (GACHE). The GACHE grant allows high schools to implement strategies that encourage and assist at-risk students to continue their education beyond high school.
On Tuesday, November 20th from 8am-11:20am all UCHS ninth grade students will participate in a Reality Store. A minimum of 40 volunteers is needed to staff this reality event. Representatives from the housing industry, utilities, grocery stores, department stores, financial institutions, medical professions, child care centers, travel and entertainment industry, etc. are needed to participate in this one day event to help students determine how they spend their income and how staying in school and continuing on to post-secondary is vital for the life they envision.
