San Ramon California is located about 45 minutes east of downtown San Francisco. It’s a great residential community full of beautiful estates, popular and desirable neighborhoods, dozens of parks and great schools. Whether you live here or you’re visiting from the surrounding neighborhood city or state, there are few things you have to see when you visit. Throw the backpack in the car, take a day trip and enjoy some of the best spots around San Ramon.

Outdoors

Central Park is probably one of the most popular places for sports enthusiasts around San Ramon. There’s hiking trails, a 35 acre park, tennis courts, basketball and baseball fields, a skate park, dog park, and lots of trails and hiking spots perfect for biking, running, or just a simple stroll through the woods. This Park is also home to the Lindsay Dirkx Brown Gallery which is a beautiful community center located in the center of the park. Neighborhood and community festivals such as the Art and Wind Festival is also held at Central Park. And most locals never miss the San Ramon Farmers Market open every Saturday year round. Great local produce and open on Thursday afternoons during the summer months. Grab some great veggies and plan your dinner right at the market.

During the summer there’s always movies and concerts in the park and the Dougherty Valley Performing Arts Center always has a great performance going on year-round. 

The Food
