The Beauty that Exists in All Seasons

It is amazing how much the tone of colors can change in just a month here in the mountains of Western North Carolina.  A month ago we had vivid colors and most trees still had their leaves.  When I was showing the farmhouse on Tunnel Mountain Road a couple of days ago, I had a few moments to myself and the opportunity to enjoy the beauty that exists between the showiness of "Colored Leaf Season" and the starkness of winter.

These photos were included in a collage I created to accompany a post on how to make a collage on Ribbet, I just thought I'd deconstruct the collage and let the photos stand on their own.

Oh my - I wanna come visit you!   AZ seems so much the same year round - just hot, hot or hotter - not much changes.

Beautiful, brilliant colors! And I'm going to check out your blog on making a collage. Thank you for sharing with us that don't have the autumn colors that you do!

Beautiful photos. Southern California doesn't have a real change in the seasons, so for the most part we miss out on all the vibrant fall colors. I like to travel to Big Bear, a few hours away during the fall to experience all the beauty of nature!

Shanna, I'd pick the AZ "hotter" season as good timing for a getaway to NC since all seasons here have something to offer.

Suzi, you'll love how easy it is to make the collages.

Lanise, that's one of the cool things about California...it doesn't take long to go find enough elevation to see the changes in the seasons.

Hey Roger, you know...seems I did hear something about four seasons in Ohio, lol.

Hi Mona,

Very nice shots indeed. The colors change sp fast. I have been trying to get some shots but it seems everything looks like fall when we have a drought.

Have a great day in Sylva.

Best, Clint McKie

Hi Clint, it does seem like certain regions make it easier to appreciate the changes in the seasons but you're right, if you have a drought or dry climate...not so easy.

Cherimie, thanks for the compliment. Lucky for you we aren't that from from your beautiful area.

Kristin, glad you enjoyed the photos.
