Burlington Tree Lighting Ceremonies and Festival of Lights 2012
It's almost that time again! Where did the year go? It seems like it was just a few short months ago that Burlington's Spencer Smith Park was lit up with thousands of Christmas lights and in a few short weeks it will be again.
The Burlington Tree Lighting Ceremonies and Festival of Lights 2012 will take place on Friday, November 30th. The Festival begins at 6 pm in Burlington's Civic Square and will include the lighting of two trees!
That's right. Two beautiful trees will be lit that night.
After watching the lighting of the Burlington's holiday tree in Civic Square, take a festive walk through a candlelit downtown as Burlington's Downtown Business Association will be holding their Candlelight Stroll on the same evening as the Burlington Festival of Lights opening ceremony for the first time.
The CHML Tree of Hope will be lit in Spencer Smith Park, bringing hope and a special Christmas to hundreds of children in the Burlington and Hamilton area.
There are no less than 3,950 lights on the Tree of Hope! Bring a donation to help those children in need this Christmas.
The Burlington Festival of Lights Christmas display lights will be lit and Santa Claus himself will make a special visit in Spencer Smith Park.
Don't miss out on this wonderful evening of caroling, refreshments and candlelight. Last year 24 gallons of hot chocolate were served!
Bundle up the family, mark it on your calendar and join in the festive spirit at the Burlington Tree Lighting Ceremonies and Festival of Lights 2012.
