Fall Leaf season | Bradford Pears | Franklin, NC Fall colors
Fall in Franklin will end in just a few short weeks. Every year thousands of people come here to see the magnificent color changing in leafs. It's a magical time of the year here in the mountains as well as the springtime when it all comes back to life. The last of the fall colors are usually the reds.
Tourist season in Franklin, NC will end as well and our population with be cut in half. Although families are staying longer and love to come up for Thanksgiving and Christmas.
One of my favorite trees in Franklin, NC are the Bradford Pears. They bloom in the spring with a pretty white flower and just look at the beautiful show they put on for the Fall season. I have two in my yard seen here in this photo. The only negative the Bradford Pear has is they are known to split easily.
The trees in the mountains are now almost all bare but there are a few areas left with if you know where to look in the lower elevations. Temperature are freezing in the morning and that will kill off the rest of the leaves. Winter will soon arrive in Franklin, NC and we will have a different landscape. Naked trees will look like sticks topping the mountains.
