Gun Show in Sandy Utah is a major event.
It is hard for me to be a photo-blogger when the subject is that great event (approximately quarterly) The Crossroads of the West Gun Show in Sandy Utah.
No Cameras (slight bummer)
But there is a way to give you a feel for the event. In words and graphics...
Major traffic (and overflow as well). Imagine a very large exhibition hall with thousands of people, eight substantial aisles of displays on many hundreds of tables. With the hunting season soon upon us, rifles and guns of all descriptions were walking out the door, closely followed by dollies of ammunition. (Have you tried to lift 1000 rounds of 9mm, or 5.56mm or .308 or...? ~ you might be surprised.)
Vendors were numerous, enthusiastic and informative; customers and visitors, eager, noisy and colorful. Many dressed for the occasion.
Highlight of my day: a 12 year old salesman on his father's stand trying to convince me that I needed a Taser with a 30ft reach – just to be sure.
Heaps of stuff other than guns. Knives, clothing, survival food, jerky, polished rock, anything outdoors, leather crafts. Not to forget books, DVDs, and toys.
A very complete show for all ages. (I attest to that because they were all there).
Some of the stall-holders volunteered their cards for my graphic project to give you further flavor from the Gun Show.
When you make plans to visit Utah add a Crossroads of the West Gun Show at Sandy Utah to them. It is an experience to treasure.
Next Gun Show is in February.
