Is this Voter Fraud or Stupidity?
In the recent election there was a case where a father went into the polling station and actually voted for his son. It was widely publicized by the local TV channels. This incident has got me wondering, it is either that this guy is either a mental case or he is just plain stupid.
It is a felony to vote for someone else. Voting rights are not transferrable rights. So nobody can give his or her right to vote to another person. I just do not understand the mindset of a father who thought he had permission from his child to vote on the child’s behalf. The sad part o this is that the man was walking around for days before he was arrested. It seems to me that once he casted the vote the polling officials should have alerted the local police and have him arrested. That did not happen. That is where the bigger concern should be.
