Why Reno, NV Part 6? With Photos of Reno, NV

Mountain Skiing and Snowboarding

Reno-Tahoe boasts the highest concentration of ski and snowboard resorts in North America. Within an hour of Reno you'll find 18 alpine resorts and a dozen beautifully groomed cross-country ski areas.

Our summit elevations range from 7,350 to 10,100 feet. That just about guarantees us 20-foot snow packs and ski seasons that can last from November until the Fourth of July!

Michael Greenslade ~ Thank goodness! Finally, someone who is familiar with Reno, NV.  Most people think I am located in Las Vegas.

Thank you for stopping by.  Drop me a line when you are visiting.

Catherine - My favorite winter activity is to sit in a ski lodge sipping a brandy and watching everyone else freeze! LOL only kidding!

I love just walking in the woods when it snows because it's so unbelievably quiet.

Linda Scanlan ~ You made me laugh.  Hanging out at the lodge sounds like a good idea.  I prefer Spring and Summer activities.
