Monmouth County Division of Workforce Development has received a grant to recruit and place individuals in workplaces that need help in recovering from the Hurricane Sandy disaster.  We have various job orders from municipalities, non-profits and governmental agencies that we need to fill very quickly.
 
These positions range from 2 to 6 months in length.  Job Titles are varied, including:  office administration, laborer, construction, phone helpline workers, maintenance, food distribution worker, and many more.
 
To apply, please come to one of the following orientations: (NO APPOINTMENT IS NECESSARY)
 
HURRICANE SANDY JOBS ORIENTATION WALK-INS

This orientation will accomplish three necessary objectives:
1.    Verify that you are eligible;
2.    Enable you to meet with an Employment Counselor to determine which position would best be suited for you based on experience and interest;
3.    If eligible, set up an appointment with the organization/company for a quick turnaround to employment.
The above orientation sessions will be conducted at:

The NJ Department of Labor & Workforce Development will also be conducting orientations as listed below:  These orientations will be conducted at 60 Taylor Avenue, Neptune, NJ  07753

In order to qualify for this grant you must be one of the following:
•    Worker who has been temporarily or permanently dislocated as a result of the disaster;
•    eligible dislocated worker, currently unemployed;
•    Individual who is long-term unemployed (13 of the last 26 weeks) and do not meet criteria in the other two categories above
•    Individuals receiving UI compensation are eligible.
You must bring in the following information:
1.    Social security card or 2 different documents with the number on it.
2.    Proof of Citizenship - birth certificate or unexpired passport.
3.    Proof of address - driver's license
4.    Proof of income or employment ID (if unemployed due to the hurricane)
5.    DD214 (if applicable)
6.    Copy of Resume (if available)
