Lake Oconee area residents get into the Christmas spirit at the 2012 Festival of Trees! The annual event was held Saturday, November 17, 2012 and is sponsored each year by the Greene County Boys & Girls Club. The festival is held each year at Festival Hall on Main Street in downtown Greensboro, Ga. The festival features decorated trees, wreaths and gingerbread houses sold in a silent auction, as well as many other unique holiday gift items in the Holiday Bazaar. Entertainment is provided by local bands and by youth and adult choirs throughout the day. All proceeds benefit the Greene County Boys and Girls Club.
The trees and wreaths are decorated by local businesses and designers and donated to the Boys and Girls Club. The silent auction has been going very well so far! Many people had signed the open bid sheet for these two trees donated by the Keller Williams Lake Oconee office.
Children can visit Santa's Secret Shop and purchase gifts for family members .. with the help of "elves". Fred and Terri Hedrick, with some of their friends from Reynolds Plantation, enjoyed seeing all the beautiful Christmas trees on Friday night. Terri brought her two grandson back with her on Saturday to do a little Christmas shopping!
The UGA Tree and the GA TECH tree received many bids!!
LAKE OCONEE AREA FISHERMAN REALLY LOVED THIS ONE!
