The Alexander House
This is the Alexander house. This house still stands as I first saw it in 1979. It is such an elegant home. I was invited many times into it. I just never made it inside. The bushes outside are Azaleas. They bloom the most beautifully red flowers.
When sweet Mr. Alexander passed away the house was put up for sale. I wanted to be the Realtor who was selling the home; however, their children did not know me. At the time I did not know that they were planning on selling it.
The Alexander’s were friends of my in-laws. They were such awesome people. Mrs. Alexander passed away so many years ago and Mr. Alexander followed a few years ago.
I can recall Mrs. Alexander telling me stories of the dance parties her children would hold on the top floor. In my mind’s eye I still see her smiling face riding her bicycle along the roads. Gosh I miss these people.
We all meet people as we pass through this life. Some are great people and some not so great. As Realtors® we get to meet and touch the lives of so many people. Leave a positive image of yourself. People will remember you if you do. Would it not be great if we all left postitive images of ourselves? This would be a better world.
