Sometimes Not All is Lost!

Dealing with the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy has not been easy. In the middle of hundreds of homes that were destroyed in Breezy, this beautiful statue of Mary was left standing and is now displayed in the church up the block...unbelievable!

Written by one of my Facebook friends:
"In a mostly Catholic neighborhood, we see this ... a true testament that even through the storm God is always with us... these are the small miracles most tend to miss, it's those of us who truly believe know the significance of these statues surviving... God Bless the family who that statue belongs to, God Bless the community and God Bless those who are helping each other rise above the devastation."

Hi LIZ:

What a blessed reminder for us to always know in our hearts that, **God Is Always With Us.** I think it is wonderful that the statue is now in a church, to remind us of God's Blessings.  Thanks For Sharing This With Everyone !!!     Sending Blessings & Smiles To You.....MYRNA  :) :) :)  :(o_o):

I remember that immediately following the 9/11 tragedy, there were little reminders similar to what you illustrate.  For example, very little damage to 2 churches almost immediately adjacent the twin towers.
