This is one problem in Real Estate I am sure every agent has seen. Hold an open house, ask all the visitors to sign in, and they put down a fictitious phone number and E-mail address. It happens once in a while. I am not sure why. Buyers must think Real Estate Agents will pester them until they buy. I am not sure about that. I have never pressured anyone into a decision. The process of buying a home should be made as enjoyable and pressure free as possible. Some Buyers do not realize part of the job of a Real Estate Agent is to help them through the process. There are a number of steps along the process I explain to Buyers.
Identify what type of home are they looking for, location, features, price range.
The difference between buying a foreclosure, short sale, and home offered by a private seller.
How to prepare for the lending process and what to expect.
Preparing the Offer to Purchase and a plan to negotiate if necessary.
What happens after an offer is accepted?
Prepare for the inspection.
Stay in communication with the Lender.
Forwarding information such as Title.
Prepare for the closing.
Transfer over utilities.
The entire home buying process is a lot smother once all these steps are understood and planned.
