Thanks for Giving Your Time and Talents is one of the most gratifying experiences on the giving and receiving end.
There are so many time and talent givers in the United States that never get recognized or thanks. I think Thanksgiving is a great time to acknowledge that group of people.
When you go to the hospital and you see hospital volunteers, assisting you to same day surgery or wheeling you out to the car afterwards, thank them. Giving of time and compassion of those needing assistance is a wonderful act of love.
When you see Red Cross workers handing out much needed supplies after a natural disaster, thank them. These individuals work tirelessly through nights, weekends and holidays to support those of us in times of crisis. They stay until the need is no longer there.
When you see roadside cleanup volunteers from various organizations and groups, cleaning up the roadside to improve your area that you live in, thank them. Giving back to the community is such a vital part of business in a community.
When you see firefighters at busy intersections with a boot, collecting money for a fallen firefighter, thank them for their bravery and service. They will give their lives, if need be, to save us in an emergency.
Of course I cannot forget anyone in the military, who are willing to give their time and talents to protecting our great nation from attacks inside and outside of the United States. These individuals are not drafted into service, they choose to be of service to this country. The ultimate sacrifice is to lay down your life for someone else, and no one does it better.
Thanks everyone for giving your time and talents to make this the great United States of America.
