I Am Thankful For So Many Things

What am I thankful for on this Thanksgiving Day?

Family. My daughters are the light of my life. I love watching them grow up to be inquisitive and beautiful young ladies who are quickly approaching my shoe size.

My husband. The most laid back man who makes sure my life is not all work and no play.

My mother, who has always been there when I've needed her. And also when I haven't. I am so happy that she met Jerry and that they are so happy together. 

My sister, who is living in Austria so I haven't even had a chance to hold her baby girl yet, but is always just a phone call away. Her new life with her husband and children may be challenging, but she always puts a positive spin on it. 

Friends. My oldest friend had to pull me off an emotional cliff this year (Thanks Cindy) My college roommate has been a rock for me during my hardest times and makes me laugh like crazy during the best. (Thanks Laura) My partner in crime who always makes me feel girly and with whom I always have a great time. (Thanks Jason)

My co-workers. This is not the usual set of co-workers. These are the greatest friends one could have. They range the ages, but really helped me through some crazy stuff this year. (Thanks Buyer's Edge, Law Office of David Modell and Caliber Funding crews.)

My health. Cancer is no fun, but it is tolerable with all the people above to support me.

My job. I know there are still so many people who are unemployed and I am so thankful to be working. I spent so many years trying to figure out what I wanted to be when I grew up and a single letter from my buyer's agent set me on a path to what feels like my calling.

Coaches and teachers. I can think of nothing more amazing that having someone impart their knowledge onto another. My daughters have had great coaches for soccer, basketball, softball and swimming. I love being a soccer mom, a basketball coach, and softball mom and a swim mom. And my kids have great teachers at school. I love watching them develop their love of reading. And they have great piano and clarinet teachers. I love watching my daughters develop their passion for music. 

I'm glad we are all safe and sound in a great home, is a great city in a great state and a great country.
