So here it is, Thanksgiving night, my belly is full from the turkey, stuffing, pie and I have finished watching my Dallas Cowboys come up short against the Washington Redskins. As I was sitting on the couch, I was thinking of things that I am thankful for. I came up with 7 Reasons I Am Thankful To Live In Clermont Florida. Here they are, in no particular order:
.) I Didn't Do Any Of This Today (or any other day):

.) Clermont Is Close To The Theme Parks, But Not TOO Close. In less than an hour, I can be at the front gate of either Disney World, Sea World or Universal Studios. I'm close enough to go there on a regular basis, but not so close that I have to deal with the traffic that comes with tourism.
.) Clermont Is Close To The Ocean. In about an hour, I can be in the sand at Daytona Beach. If I am looking to get to the Gulf, I can be there in about 1.5 hours.
.) Clermont Chain Of Lakes. 11 beautiful lakes and over 8000 acres of water. Fish, ski, swim, do it all. I love the water, so this is IDEAL for me.
.) Miles Of Paved Trails. I love the outdoors. The trails that we have in Clermont can take you all the way to Apopka, Florida (This is a 22 mile one way trip). Ride your bike, run, walk, roller blade, enjoy the hills and the great sunshine!
.) Clermont Is One Of The Higher Points In Florida. Granted, Clermont isn't as hilly as it used to be, we definitely aren't flat. Sugarloaf Mountain (ok, it's a big hill) is 312 feet high. Not too shabby.
.) Small Town Feel, But Has Everything I Need. I love the small town atmosphere. Don't get me wrong though, we have plenty of things to do. You really don't need to venture out of the city for entertainment.
