Complaint Description:
Contracted to do BPO in remote Alaska village that required air travel. NEVER paid now spammed 254 emails when I threatened this complaint. I was asked to do a Broker Price Opinion in Hoonah, Alaska. This requires air travel. Turned out borrower had subdivided and built second home as a rental. Sent photos to get clarification as to which property they wanted an opinion on. Waited, called again, waited. It has been almost 3 months now and I was promised payment even if the company renegged on the order. Last week I mentioned that it was time to file a complaint and perhaps blog to notify others in the industry as the their practices... Today I received 254 emails from the company with different ticket numbers addressing my "issue". Obvious retaliation. This is very frustrating when coming from a company that expects instantaneous, detailed results from it's vendors but finds paying them for their work to be such an inconvenience.

Your Desired Resolution:
A week ago, a month ago, 2 months ago... I would have been happy with the $700 as contracted but now have so much time involved, I feel I am entitled to considerably more. Attempting to crash my email system by sending hundreds of emails in a short window is completely unacceptable behavior. The retaliation of a cyber attack should not go unpunished.

This case will be reviewed by a complaint specialist at the Better Business Bureau, and then forwarded to the business for their response. It is our policy to allow the business 30 working days to respond to your complaint. You will be notified when the business has responded.

Since October 9. I have been promised that this issue will be escalated.  Last week I told them I was going to file a complaint with BBB, the Colorado AG office, and blog about it.  I would say after this, my issue is certainly "escalated".

Update - Funny how eventually when you throw a fit people will finally listen.  Within 30 minutes of this post I received a call from them.  Oh, and apparently they "found" a few other orders I didn't get paid for.  Note to self:  Tracking system is an immediate necessity!  Second note:  Pitch a fit a little sooner... even if you aren't that mad yet.  These companies only speak ONE language.

Well, I did get paid.  But I'm not a collection agency.  So I'll keep this to remind me not to go there again :)

Get Paid what your WORTH!

We are out over 700.00 from Work back as far as July.  Today , they said I am scheduled for payment on Jan 15th!

What a crime to provide such a diservice to all the hardworking 30,000 Realtors I am told across the Nation.

And yes I have called collectively 6 different times and amazing with 30 minutes of a call they send me a BPO order! Of COurse we declined to work for free any longer.

We are going to contact the Attorney General.  As a past Board Member at our Local Association we have some contact high up in the REO Industry.

 

We decline since this is bad buainess.  I am looking ofr a contact of all persons who know who sends their BPO orders to

this company they need to know who unethical this behavior is.

My next step is the Small CLaims court in Colorado.

"Quality Service" is the name of the game.

I too have been hit by the green monster, I'm in for 600.00 dollars and a fellow colleague 600. I have threatened with an attorney and the accounting  manager stated, okay here's my name.  I really need payment. I'm in Atlanta and I teach other agent how to complete BPO's...I tell me to steer clear of them. I'm calling the Television station for resolution this need to be broadcast on the news as an scam.  I also will be calling the local BBB. They should be ashamed.

I too have been a victim of BrokerPriceOpinion.com/First Valuation. I didn’t appreciate completing the BPO assignments on time with no quality control issues and then not getting paid.  How frustrating!

Fortunately, I have teamed up with REOPro Default Professionals and a debt collector to help those of us agents who have been burned by these fraudsters.

If you can provide me a spreadsheet of the orders you have completed and how much you are owed along with some type of proof that you were assigned the order. I can help you recover money owed to you.
