Newnan Christmas Parade by Richard WeisserThe 2012 Newnan Christmas Parade is set to commence at 3:00 P.M. pm on Sunday December 2.

The annual event is one of the city’s most popular and attracts parade aficionados from around the county and the entire metroAtlanta area.

There will be many floats sponsored by businesses, city departments, churches and civic organizations plus plenty of carolers and marching bands.

And of course, the parade winds up with a very special guest from the North Pole!

The parade route runs from the staging area at Temple Avenue Park and continues South on Jackson and Lagrange Streets toNewnanHigh School.

The long route allowss for lots of good viewing spots and of course there is plenty of free parking.

Why not come early and do some shopping or dining in the historic downtown district? You’ll find specialty shops for every gift penchant and plenty of great restaurants!
