Instructions to Care for Your Fresh Cut Christmas Tree

Within 30 minutes or less of bringing the tree home, make a fresh cut 1/4 inch or more above the original cut until you see fresh wood. Immediately place the tree in an approx 5 gallon bucket to let it soak up as much water as it wants. A tree may drink 1 gallon of water per day, so keep replenishing the water. Let it sit a couple of days to drink up lots of water, then put it in a large water holding tree stand. Check the water every day to be sure it has plenty of water.
