The Prudential Locations Foundation has had another extremely successful event. With the 2006/2007 school year just starting here in Honolulu, we decided to make sure that the children with parents not able to afford simple school necessities to get them starting in the new school year were ready to go. The Prudential Locations Foundation supplied over 350 backpacks with school supplies to various charities including Women In Need, IHS Family Division, Next Step Shelter in Kakaako, and organizations in Maui. There were news crews on hand and nothing but smiling faces on the children ranging from Kindergarten to the 6th Grade while they went through all their new school goodies.
This has been an event that we have done for 5 years straight but this year has been the largest to date with over more than double the backpacks being given away versus just last year. We hope to make 2007 even larger!!!
