Laramie, WY: Don't Bite the Hand that Feeds You- Swirled into Oblivion

While browsing through my photo file, I came across this picture that my son took in the fall of 2011.  Can you guess what it is?

        Burnt Log Sculpture

To refresh my memory I conducted a search online and was surprised to learn that if we wanted to go back and see it again, we can't - because it is no longer there.  After you guess what it is, you can go to the links below to find out what it really is and why it is not there anymore:

good picture.  A carbon sink.  Interesting.  I didn't think it would have been coal.  I wonder what he used to treat the coal with?

I am guessing the remains of a huge bonfire.  I am not completely sure.

I knew it was logs but thought that was dirt between them where plants would be planted. Read the article and all I can say is that THE MIGHTY DOLLAR WINS AGAIN.

Hi Sandy,  I don't think he treated it with anything . . . it was just there

Hi Tony, it does look like the remains of a huge bonfire, doesn't it?!  I just like the design and unusual nature of it.

Isn't that the truth, Sussie!  I saw it as simply interesting but I guess some people took it at its value as a statement and that just didn't fly . . .

Brenda,

Good eye to see and capture this. Often designs are there just for the taking. :)

Hi Steve, What you said is true, we just have to look at ordinary things in a different way which isn't always easy. . .

Hi Tim!  I am surprised that they removed it and so quickly . . .

Thanks, Gina!
