Am I the only one happy that elections are over??

Gone are the political posts drowning my FB page and email.  Now, I think we will see a positive impact on our real estate market and the economy.

I have seen an increase of foreclosures on the market since the elections are over.  It is believed that there will be a flood of foreclosures on the market now.  I don't see the market rebounding to the way it was back in 2007 but I am hopeful.

What are your predictions for the upcoming 2013 real estate market?

Crystal ball

Tanya - I thought that 2007 market was terribly wrong. It was unsustainable. The unbelievably high values forced very high property tax, and at the same time very high insurance premiums.

Why would any agent want a market like in 2007? It was a very expensive bubble, do we need to live in bubble?

Is anyone in congress talking about housing or fixing the issues that we have. I haven't heard anyone, I hope we do go off the cliff so as it will wake the dope smoking, crack heads up and that is just our congress.

Only 51% of eligiable voters even votes and we go 50.3 of those which means a little over 25% of voting Americans and we thnk we go a mandate give me a freaking break. These numbers tell me that of the registered voters 49% stayed home and then there are the non registered but of age that sits at 27%.

Jon,

We are in two totally different markets.  The majority of my sales were below market value.  Property values can be successfully protested.

Joyce,

I've been on many conference calls with HUD officials and other decision makers to help the real estate market recover.

All I can say is that I voted and will continue to vote!!  I can't worry about those that choose not to vote nor can I drag them to the pole.

Again, I am so happy that today is a new day!

Tanya, the real estate market will continue to recover if Congress and the President leave the Bush era tax cuts in place and do not tamper with the mortgage interest deduction. We don't need anything to give buyers a reason to go back into their shell. Leave well enough alone and let us heal.
