The Moody Blues 2012 Concert Tour The Voyage Continues Highway 45
Wikipedia explains that since the 1960's, this classical, English rock band has been writing and performing their own music. "The Moody Blues have sold more than 70 million albums worldwide and have been awarded 14 platinum and gold discs. As of 2012 they remain active with one member (Graeme Edge) from the original band from 1964 and two more (John Lodge and Justin Howard) from the 1967 lineup."
Sunday night, they played locally at NYCB Theatre in Westbury, as part of their 2012 Concert Tour which began on the east coast November 23 and ends in Las Vegas, Nevada on December 15th.
"The NYCB Theater at Westbury (originally known as the Westbury Music Fair) is an entertainment venue located in Westbury, New York constructed in theater in the round style with seating for 3,000 that was originally developed as a means to present top performers and productions of popular theatrical musicals at a series of venues located in suburban locations on the East Coast of the United States."
The three immensely-talented musicians entertained a mainly Baby Boomer audience for two hours. Songs like "Nights in White Satin," "Question," "Say it With Love," and "Your Wildest Dreams" guaranteed the success of this trip down memory lane . As Graeme Edge was only too happy to remind a very agreeable crowd, "it's still sex, drugs and rock and roll."
