Searching for a Canadian Real Estate Agent in Phoenix

If you're searching for a Canadian Real Estate Agent in the Phoenix area, you've found one.  I'm a Canadian who now lives full time in Arizona.  I moved here with my husband and two dogs six years ago from Vancouver, BC.  Why would I move away from one of the most beautiful cities in the world?  The short answer is, the weather.  The sunny days in Vancouver almost make up for all the rainy days but almost wasn't quite good enough.  The dark rainy days bother some people more than others, and my husband was one of those that was almost unbearable to live with when it rained day after day.  We were very lucky in that he worked for a U.S. based company that was willing to sponsor our move to the U.S.  Living in the U.S. would make it easier for him to attend company meetings and other functions so we chose to move to Arizona.  We now live in a place where it's sunny more than 320 days of the year.  After a couple of years we were fortunate to have received our green cards to make us permanent residents.

After getting to know the Phoenix metropolitan area, I became a REALTOR because I love working with people and I love looking at houses.  I'm passionate about helping people find the right home for their situation.

My husband and I purchased a home when we moved here six years ago and found the process to be quite different from our experience buying a home in Canada.  We had great real estate agents helping us but they couldn't quite understand where we were coming from.  Even though they were great communicators and helped us through everything we still felt a little lost but couldn't explain why.  That's where I can help fellow Canadians buying homes in Arizona.

I've been seeing all the snow in Alberta recently and the colder rainy weather in Vancouver.  If you're thinking about looking for a home in the desert to escape to in the winter, I would be happy to help you find one.

I've put together this short video for anyone searching for a Canadian Real Estate Agent in Phoenix.  Please enjoy watching it and contact me to get your Arizona home search started.

Thanks for the comment Sharon.  There are also two daily direct flights year round to and from Vancouver with U.S. Airways.  I was interested to learn about your business and will keep it in mind for clients buying vacation homes in the Phoenix area.

Again, wonderful video by you, Carol. It tells the story clearly - sunshine vs. snow. If you had a beach there, I'd be tempted!

Being from Vancouver I was concerned about the lack of beach as well.  Since homes in California are so much more expensive than Arizona, we chose the Phoenix area and made sure we had a yard big enough to have out own pool so we could have our own private 'beach'.  I do enjoy taking a break and visiting San Diego at least once a year and we still go back to Vancouver a few times each year so the lack of beaches here hasn't been an issue.  It's sunny and in the mid 70's today and my husband is out mowing the lawn in shorts, in December!
