HEY!! How About Some Feedback

By
Real Estate Agent with CENTURY 21 Broadhurst 91309

I want to put some advice out there in the Active Rain community as well as vent a little. Our office has a very expensive and useful system that schedules your showing appointment and also sends you a reminder e-mail and asksyou for you showing feedback. It is amazing to me how less than 30% of the agents showing property will respond back. Those that do not respond back I personally call for the feedback. Out of those agents about 50% will call back. If you do not operate like this than I am not directing this at you and you can probable relate. To those of you that this does relate to: Your feedback is very important to the marketing of our clients homes. Your suggestions on price, condition, and even ideas on furniture arrangements is very important. My clients expect to hear-how a showing went and when I tell them I'm having trouble getting feedback, it just give us all a black eye. I now tell my clients the agent that I I'm having trouble getting the info from and I sit with them and call the broker for the feedback. Sounds extreme but it is very important to me that my clients know I am working for them. Even if you do not remember the home the agent is calling about, call them back and tell them this. I know we are all busy, but lets help each other be successful and looking professional in the publics eye.

I find the higher the dollar value of the home the more likely I am to get feedback.  Also, after a while you just know which agents won't offer feedback.

Hi Scot, I know how you feel. I use the HOMEFEEDBACK system, acatually  I haven't been using it, even though I pay for the service monthly, because the agents don't answer it. I Just call for a feedback, and hope they answer (or remember the house) within 48 hours. You do what you have to.

Feedback is nice to receive. I give it and would like it in return. I have ran into several agents who told me up front they don't give feedback....real pros!

My feedback will generally consist of "my clients are considering it" or "my clients aren't considering it".  If it shows well, I'll also tell them that.  If I've worked with the agent before and know they can handle the truth, I might offer some suggestions.

Feedback?  Yes.  I want to give it and I want to get it.  In giving it, I am honest.

I agree.  It only takes a minute.  I always give feedback.  Even if other agent does not, at least I am the professional one.

Hey folks thanks for the good feedback. Seems like we are are looking for the same thing. When I get feedback I am in no way using it to hang the other agent, and if the feedback is not the best I use it to improve the property for the next showing. Andrew sounds like you could write a blog on the agent that uses the info to hang you, not my intent. I find that most of the agents that do not give feedback are not working real estate full time. What I am trying to do to correct this problem is when I am with a newer agent I speak of the importance of feedback and how to use it. Thanks again for your thoughts.

Scott - We use a similiar system with similiar results - While I like to get feedback, and give it when asked, as well as discuss it with my vendors I have to agree with Andrew.
