Anyone read this article?  It discusses how technology is changing the Real Estate industry.  Mentions of alternate business models, valuation websites and blogs.  The old way of doing real estate is dead.  I especially find the next to the last line very interesting

"Inman says that real estate professionals have two choices when it comes to confronting the changes wrought by technical advances: engage it or pretend it isn't there."  Inman is obviously a reference to Brad Inman.

I would like to point out to the agents and other real estate professionals on AR - for the most part, this community is doing exactly what Inman suggests!  Considering that there are, what, 1 million + Real Estate agents in the country and about ~ 8000 on AR - WE are within the TOP 1 % of agents that are adapting rapidly in this new paradigm!  Just thought I'd share..... :)

Part of the new way to do business is staying informed.  ActiveRain is great for that.  If you have time to spend browing posts, this is a great place to be.

Don't you find it amazing that in 5-6 short months you know more people in the real estate business, across the country, that 9/10 Realtors in AZ?

I am amazed at this networking tool.

Brian - it is truly amazing.  Not only do I 'know' them, I can readily see their ideas/thoughts based on blogs and comments.  Now when I give out a referral - there is really some meat behind it other than just the recommendation of one or two persons.  Of course this applies to real estate professionals within AZ as well.

Business is all about networking and tools like AR accelerate networking like nobody's business!

YES!  Change is on the move and this is one of the best places to keep pace with it.
