Showing Gratitude through Giving This Holiday Season

Real Estate Agent with Realty ONE Group

I just love this time of year and more then ever am so very grateful.  What better way to show gratitude then to be outward focused in our community.  In keeping with the generosity and giving associated with the upcoming holiday season, I wanted to share & invite you to participate with me in an event that is dear to my heart.

This will be the 6th year I not only have participated in yet stepped up to leadership to bottom line responsibilities for Giving Day Las Vegas.  As we all know, "it takes a village"! I personally have committed to 100 volunteers and raising $1000 for this event. So contact me today if you want to share in this experience.

PSI World in partnership with PSI Seminars is holding its 15th annual “Giving Day” for Las Vegas 2012 families in need.  The goal this year is to provide Christmas for more than 650 children at Arturo Cambeiro Elementary School, who otherwise might not have a holiday.  This particular school was referred to us through the Clark County School District.  Each student will receive a want (toy), a need (new clothing), a new pair of shoes and socks & a supply of food for the holiday break.  We will be handing out these gifts to the children during a “Giving Day Festival” at the school on Saturday, December 15th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

300 Volunteers & $50,000 is required to pull off this project and we are asking for your support. All donations are tax deductible as PSI World is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization and our federal tax ID number is 23-739-6641. 100% of your financial contributions will go directly to this project.  You and your family and friends are invited to join us in the distribution of holiday cheer throughout the community.

Some important data about the school:

  • 650 children attend Cambeiro Elementary school

  • 150 are considered homeless as they do not have a residence registered with the school. These children often live with other families in temporary situations, pay by weekly rentals, or are completely on the street.

  • ALL of the children at this school are on a free breakfast and lunch program

  • 98% of the household incomes for the families are below the poverty thresholds set by federal poverty guidelines

  • YouTube link for a video of Giving Day 2010:

I invite you to participate with me however if not, choose to give in some way that is important to you. Giving is the best way to show gratitude.  And believe me the more I give the more I receive in all areas of my life! I'd love to hear about the ways you are giving back to your community this season.

With Appreciation & Love,
