Write a $20 check today for your favorite charity.

It’s the time of year where people reach deep and reach out to charities and non-profits. There are so many great causes to support and most of us feel passionate about something. However you give back, with donations, time, labor, sponsorships; your favorite charity appreciates all you do. With the economy being slow, most non-profits and charitable organizations are under-funded and need to stretch dollars. Many people give less during harder financial times and that’s understandable but for most organizations, a check for $20 (even $5)  is better than no check at all. Additionally, I had considered spending $100 on Facebook advertising this month but instead, I’ll simply say that if I can gain 100 “Likes” in the next week, I’ll pay the advertising money to my favorite local animal shelter. Feel free to share my post and please encourage giving today...

$20.00 isn't much for any one person to give but combined with others it can do a lot for some needy people. It's great to give at Christmas but we should be aware and care the rest of the year.

Hi Courtney,

Yes, if we all take a minute and a few dollars, we can make a difference.

Betty,

Yes, so many people think $20 (or $5) will make no difference but it really can. There’s a local charity here that said they can feed 10 people with $3.50! That makes a difference!

Anything helps.
