Dunham Castle Reception Supports Relay for Life

By

Update: We had 660 attendees and raised over $17,000 for the American Cancer Society. This event rocked!

This weekend I have a fund-raising event at my Dunham Castle listing. This event brings together so many things I care about, from support of the American Cancer Society, to historic preservation, to making some good come from the foreclosure crisis we still face in IL. This event perfectly illustrates my personal views about what we really do in real estate: working with people in the communities we serve.

The event is a Relay for Life in honor of a local boy who died of bone cancer 5 years ago in the 8th grade. His buddies formed Alex's Army, an amazing group of young men who pledged to raise $100,000 before they graduate from high school. They're going to meet their goal!

We have had an over-whelming response (400 people) and today we'll go through our final preparations for our guest.
The invite below links to ticket site. Donations welcome even if you can't attend.

Leslie, your Relay for Life event at Dunham Castle sounds like a great idea.  It achieves so many worthy goals--funds for the American Cancer Society and Alex's Army, a tribute to Alex (what a tragic story), historic preservation and exposure for your extraordinary Castle listing which I'm sure plenty of Chicagoans are curious about visiting.  It's no wonder it was a big success.   Good on you.  (Seems like Rapunzel should be in the tower.)
