Maui's Keali'i Reichel to play at the Maui Arts and Cultural Center tonight!
World renowned recording artist and kumu hula local boy Keali'i Reichel will be up close and personal tonight in the McCoy Studio Theater, at 7:30 pm. It's a cozier setting than the full size Castle Theater, and the audience will be able to interact with the artist.
Reichel grew up in Lahaina and Paia and has been devoting his life to the understanding and promotion of the Hawaiian culture, through hula, chanting and language studies. His songs are a mix of Hawaiian chanting and singing in English and Hawaiian. He has helped to start a couple of Maui schools which aim to keep the culture alive.
If you get a chance to see Keali'i perform you will surely be entranced with his voice and presence. Please help to support our local artists and faciliities.
